Mission

quant.observer collects useful quant trading tools and frontier research in one place. The goal is to save time finding reliable infrastructure and reading material, not to sell strategies or market data.

We do not run a trading platform, publish live prices, or offer investment advice. Everything here is reference material for your own work.

Who it is for

  • Quantitative and systematic traders building or running models
  • Discretionary traders who use quant tools for research and risk
  • Researchers and students exploring market microstructure, ML, and alt data
  • Developers evaluating backtest engines, data APIs, and broker integrations

How we curate

The tool directory is edited manually. A link earns a place when it is widely used, actively maintained, and genuinely useful for quant workflow. We prefer tools with clear documentation and a track record in production or research settings.

  • No paid placements or affiliate-driven ordering
  • Categories stay small: if a tool does not fit, we skip it
  • Dead links get removed on periodic review
  • Open-source and commercial tools both qualify if they solve real problems

Research notes prioritize practitioner value: what to read, what matters in implementation, and where the common pitfalls are. We summarize and link to primary sources rather than republish papers.
