Privacy policy
quant.observer is a static reference site. We keep data collection minimal. This page explains what happens when you visit and what may change if we add features later.
Who we are
quant.observer ("we", "us") publishes curated links and editorial notes about quantitative trading tools and research. The site is operated as an informational resource, not a trading platform or investment adviser. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account. We do not run advertising, sell personal data, or use third-party analytics on this site today.
When you browse quant.observer, the following may occur:
- Server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. This is used for security and operations, not for profiling.
- No site cookies. We do not set cookies or use local storage to track you across pages.
- External links. Pages link to third-party sites (tool vendors, papers, data providers). Those sites have their own privacy policies and may collect data when you visit them.
Third-party services
We load web fonts from jsDelivr (JetBrains Mono). Your browser requests those files directly from jsDelivr; we do not receive that traffic data.
If we add analytics, error monitoring, or a mailing list in the future, we will update this page before or when those services go live.
Email updates (future)
A subscribe page exists but the mailing list is not connected yet. If we enable email sign-ups, we would collect only the address you submit and use it to send occasional site updates. You would be able to unsubscribe at any time. We would not sell subscriber lists.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we currently collect very little directly, most requests will relate to server logs held by our hosting provider.
To ask a privacy question, email [email protected].
Children
quant.observer is intended for adults working in or studying quantitative finance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may revise this policy when the site changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change accordingly. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
